The World Serpent
The monthly coloring page for July 2025.
A take on a classic Norse mythological symbol. The world serpent holding the earth in its scales. Each section of its body detailed by the mountains, the sea, and the city.
As usual, when a six-year old asks me to draw her favorite animal as a coloring page, I couldn’t just draw any old snake. This is what slithered out of me, and I’m happy to offer it for sale as my first monthly coloring art.
I did my best to blend interesting textures in the details so the more you color, the more things you’ll discover. My hope is that when you’re done coloring, you’ll have a bonafide piece of art to frame or hang on your wall.
It’s been kid-tested and passed, but overall, it’s probably best for adults who have some time on their hands to sit with all the sections.
Here’s hoping the piece speaks as deeply to you as it did to me. Deep in the mystery of the world serpent, you’ll find your harmony.
Format: PDF for 8 × 10 full-bleed printing (small standard frame size) and PNG (recommended for Procreate or Autodesk Sketchbook apps. See Q&A page for further instructions.)
