Promises Made Promises Broken
Art Page for September 2025
I’m not one to make a lot of political art especially when the world seems to be of two very different realities. One part of this image depicts the struggle between these two realities. The other part is to show how the current American administration’s reality seeks meaning in a soulless void they consider faith.
The black hole above has no salvation for this politician trying to protect himself from the consequences of his actions with his right arm. His eyes are empty of truth or meaning, blinding him to the reality that there is nothing above to move toward while there is nothing below but the starving hands of his victims.
There is a concept among the rich, specifically in America, that the poor are victims of their own ignorance of money. The poor refuse to take from others who have nothing to give therefore making everyone poor. Many of these wealthy elites believe their freedoms are attacked if they get called out conning innocent consumers. If they aren’t allowed to victimize you, they’re the victim, and any governing body that voices out against their abuse is a corrupt, inefficient, broken system that must be replaced.
This concept is rooted in objectivism, and it’s the black hole in this image. The cruel, rich, white man turned politician looks toward it as if it redeems his misdeeds from which the hands of his victims reach. The only reality left is the suffering of those he ignores even though their multitude will eventually overcome him. The truth is there are no bootstraps for any one person to pull themselves up by without pulling another down.
My anger and frustration at the MAGA/Project2025 movement could not be restrained anymore. I see them only as fearful cowards who weaponize minority rights, mental health status, and spiritual righteousness against a society that was evolving into a new awareness of identity affirmation, tolerance, and equality. I can’t be silent about it anymore. This is my form of speaking up.
