Topographical Bearing

A majestic grizzly bear with the tones and textures created from topographical elevation lines.

Returning to my mountain roots, I drew one of my favorite animals in the world, the bear.

I’ve seen so much of the same old bear art in my time, and I didn’t want to create the tones and textures of this majestic creature in a typical way. Why not draw it with lines like a topographical map?

I hope you agree this elevates this piece. The sheer amount of detail is nearly unbearable. It’s practically embarrassing how bad these puns are. Okay, I’ll stop now. (Bear puns are my favorite.)
